My name is Laura Gormley, and I’m fortunate to call the beautiful countryside of Donegal my home. I share my life with my husband, Pauric, and together we are blessed with three wonderful children. With a deep connection to nature, animals, and energy, I offer a range of healing services designed to nurture the mind, body, and spirit.
my story
My journey toward healing began many years ago. As a young girl, I had two imaginary friends, Crosha and Jewleen, who were my constant companions. However, as I started school, I gradually grew apart from them. Despite this, I always had a strong intuition and the ability to sense events before they happened.
As a child, I often found myself getting into trouble for predicting pregnancies simply by observing women’s bellies. Though I had a natural gift for healing with my hands, I kept this talent to myself. Growing up on a farm, my love for animals blossomed under the influence of my father, who had a gentle and profound connection with them, especially horses. His deep affection for animals inspired my own, and their loss, along with the passing of both my parents within just sixteen months, left me feeling adrift in grief.
After the death of my mother, I completed advanced Reiki training, which deepened my understanding of energy and allowed me to assist others in their healing. In search of peace, I also took an animal communication course, which brought me immense comfort and love. It was through Instagram that I discovered Aldo Jordan of the Irish School of Shamanic Studies, whose discussions on Shamanism piqued my curiosity. This led me to embark on a life-changing 12-month practitioners’ course in Mayo. The experience was transformative, sparking personal growth and healing, and awakening a renewed sense of purpose. I emerged from this journey more confident, brighter, and with a deeper desire to help others. Our course emphasized a strong connection to the land of Ireland and its powerful ties to the elements. I also completed a 9-month Water Priestess course, which focused on nurturing the land and easing the suffering caused by past famines and wars, allowing Mother Earth to heal in return.
Driven by my love for animals and my experience working with their energy, I founded Tir na nOg – a branch of Laura Gormley Healing, dedicated to the well-being of animals. Through this, I create natural remedy drops that help animals heal energetically, tailored to their unique needs.
I also created a sacred space called The Mystic School, a safe and nurturing environment in Donegal where I host monthly women’s circles and sound healing sessions. This summer, I’m excited to collaborate with holistic partners to bring fairs and healing days to Donegal. Recently, I completed my Saoro Cacao Facilitators Course, a milestone I’m immensely proud of. My deep connection to Mama Cacao and her healing properties drives my passion for sharing the sacred practices of this medicine with others.
